The antagonist star of the Harry Potter<\/em> film series will be reprising his original role as “Draco Malfoy” in HARRY POTTER AND THE CURSED CHILD<\/em> on Broadway this fall. Felton will begin performances at the Lyric Theatre on November 11th for a 19-week limited run. This will be his Broadway debut.<\/p>\n

Felton says – \u201cBeing a part of the\u00a0Harry Potter<\/em>\u00a0films has been one of the greatest honors of my life. Joining this production will be a full-circle moment for me, because when I begin performances in\u00a0CURSED CHILD<\/em>\u00a0this fall, I\u2019ll also be the exact age Draco is in the play. It\u2019s surreal to be stepping back into his shoes\u2014and of course his iconic platinum blond hair\u2014and I am thrilled to be able to see his story through and to share it with the greatest fan community in the world. I look forward to joining this incredible company and being a part of the Broadway community.\u201d<\/p>\n

In 2022, Felton made his West End debut in 2:22 A Ghost Story. <\/em>He then went on to play the lead role of “Bob Edwards” in Gareth Farr\u2019s play A Child of Science<\/em> shortly after in 2024. Felton\u2019s film credits include\u00a0Rise of the Planet of the Apes, A United Kingdom, In Secret, Feed, Risen, The Forgotten Battle, Save the Cinema,\u00a0<\/em>and\u00a0Some Other Woman.\u00a0<\/em><\/p>\n

HARRY POTTER AND THE CURSED CHILD<\/em> takes place 19-years after the final “Harry Potter” book- Harry and his friends are now parents, sending their children off to Hogwarts. Harry Potter’s son befriends his old rival Draco Malfoy’s son, and a whirlwind adventure begins.<\/p>\n

The production premiered in London in 2016, before making its way to Broadway in April 2018. Originally a two-part experience, the show condensed to a single part in December 2021 with a shortened revised version introduced in November 2024.<\/p>\n

In 2018, HARRY POTTER AND THE CURSED CHILD<\/em> was nominated for 10 Tony Awards\u00ae, going on to win five, including Best Play.
