HADESTOWN Welcomes New Cast Members

Australian pop star Betty Who and Tony nominee Philip Boykin (The Gershwin’s Porgy & Bess) begin their runs as Persephone and Hades, respectively, on September 5^th, joining Solea Pfeiffer (Almost Famous) who took over the role of Eurydice on August 15. All three will be performing alongside Tony winner Lillias White (Dreamgirls) who has extended her run as Hermes through February 4, 2024.

Hadestown intertwines two mythic tales—that of young dreamers Orpheus and Eurydice, and that of King Hades and his wife Persephone—as it invites you on a hell-raising journey to the underworld and back. Mitchell’s beguiling melodies and Chavkin’s poetic imagination pit industry against nature, doubt against faith, and fear against love.
