Story

Tony Award winners Nathan Lane and Danny Burstein and Olivier Award winner Zoë Wanamaker star as a flawed but loving American family in a stage adaptation of groundbreaking photographer Larry Sultan’s captivating visual memoir Pictures From Home.

Written by Sharr White (Showtime’s The Affair) and directed by Tony winner Bartlett Sher (To Kill a Mockingbird), with scenic design incorporating Sultan’s beautiful original photography, Pictures From Home is a funny, poignant, and heartfelt portrait of a family on both sides of the camera. As Larry tries to capture his parents’ life in their 1980s Southern California home, their reality explodes from the frame in an exploration of the power and limits of art, revealing more than words ever could about our families and ourselves.
