Lorna Courtney and Casey Likes To Lead HEATHERS THE MUSICAL

& JULIET Tony Award nominee Lorna Courtney and BACK TO THE FUTURE star Casey Likes will lead the Off-Broadway revival of HEATHERS THE MUSICAL.

Beginning June 22, Courtney will play “Veronica Sawyer” with Likes in the role of “J.D.” The production will run a limited engagement through September 28 at New World Stages, where the show initially made its Off-Broadway debut. Original Off-Broadway director Andy Fickman will direct the revial.

HEATHERS THE MUSICAL follows Veronica Sawyer, a student at Westerberg High, who befriends the most popular and devious clique in school, the Heathers. With her popularity rising, Veronica meets the mysterious J.D., and everything begins to change.

With music, lyrics, and a book written by Laurence O’Keefe and Kevin Murphy, HEATHERS THE MUSICAL is based on the 1989 film by Daniel Waters. After premiering in Los Angeles with a sold-out run, the show transferred Off-Broadway to New World Stages in 2014. In 2018, the show was revised for a West End run, before two national tours and a return to the West End. These changes will debut in NYC with show’s revival in June.
