The 2025 Drama Desk Award Nominations Are Here!

The 69th annual Drama Desk Award nominations were announced April 30th by Norm Lewis, Frank DiLella, and Rocco Vertuccio, with Broadway’s BOOP! THE MUSICAL leading with 11 nods.

A ceremony will be held on June 1st at NYU Skirball to announce the winners. The evening will be hosted by Debra Messing and Tituss Burgess, and the event will benefit the Entertainment Community Fund.

Ensemble Award
The ensemble of Roundabout Theatre Company’s LIBERATION (Betsy Aidem, Audrey Corsa, Kayla Davion, Susannah Flood, Kristolyn Lloyd, Irene Sofia Lucio, Charlie Thurston, and Adina Verson).

Sam Norkin Off-Broadway Award
Stephen Michael Spencer will be honored for his exceptional performances in this season’s new Off-Broadway musicals MEDEA: RE-VERSED and MUSIC CITY.

Additional Special Awards
Pregones/PRTT: Pregones (founded in 1979) and the Puerto Rican Traveling Theater (founded in 1967) merged in 2014 to become a powerhouse producer of Latinx shows on two NYC stages: one in Manhattan’s Theater District, the other in the South Bronx.

Stacey Derosier will be honored for her excellence in Lighting Design across this season’s Off-Broadway stages.
