TWO STRANGERS (CARRY A CAKE ACROSS NEW YORK) Is Coming To Broadway!

Welcome home to New York City! TWO STRANGERS (CARRY A CAKE ACROSS NEW YORK) is on its way to Broadway. The new hit romantic-comedy that premiered on the West End and played most recently at the American Repertory Theatre in Cambridge, MA will find a home at the Longacre Theatre beginning November 1st. The production will officially open November 20th.

The show stars Christiani Pitts (A BRONX TALE THE MUSICAL, KING KONG) and Sam Tutty, who won the Olivier Award for his performance in the West End’s production of DEAR EVAN HANSEN. The two will reprise their performances from the A.R.T. production, with Tutty having been a part of the show since its London premiere.

TWO STRANGERS… follows Dougal, an impossibly upbeat Brit who has just landed in New York City for the first time to attend the wedding of the father he’s never met, and Robin, the sister of the bride and a no-nonsense New Yorker with a lot of errands to run—including picking up the groom’s estranged son from the airport. These two strangers begin an unexpected journey together, navigating New York City, secrets, and second chances.

The creative team includes a book, music and lyrics written by Jim Barne and Kit Buchan, and direction and choreography under Tim Jackson.
